Lip blushing is a semi-permanent lip treatment which gives enhancement to the natural shape of your lips, boosting the colour by redefining the border and the lip. Pigment and colour is blended together and deposited into skin in which restores lost definition and colour. Additionally, it can also correct asymmetry and even camouflage certain types of scars. The final result will resemble a subtle, naturally toned lip which looks similar to a shaded lip balm effect.

  • This varies for every person; it can depend on factors such as lifestyle and your post-procedure aftercare of your lips. In general, a lip blush procedure will usually last approximately 24 months, however this timespan will differ from person to person. The aftercare procedure that Paula will carefully explain to you is crucial in order to maintain the longevity and health of your lips. It is highly advised for you to moisturise your lips with a petroleum-jelly based cream (such as Vaseline) 3 days prior to your appointment.

  • Everybody has a different tolerance for pain, although the majority of the procedure is painless, you may feel a slight discomfort during the start of the procedure when the tattoo device is initially applied to your skin, however a local anaesthetic will be used throughout the procedure.   • Yes, it is a legal requirement for you to complete a patch test a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment is due. A patch test will be mailed to your home address, and will require you to perform small scratch behind each ear with a sterile and disposable blade, the same type of blade used for the treatment, and you will have to apply a miniature amount of pigment and anaesthetic behind each ear. Patch tests are required by law, in order to determine whether you will have any significant allergic reaction to the pigment or anaesthetic used.

Lip fillers consist of synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a synthesised version of hyaluronic acid; a substance that is naturally occurring in the human body. Lip fillers are an excellent way to restore the beauty of your lips through a range of different ways, such as: restoring a previous lip size which might have been affected by ageing, correcting the shape of asymmetrical lips and smoothing wrinkles that may have developed on the sides of the mouth.
